Award for high quality design: two Delta Optical binoculars receive Red Dot

The Red Dot jury have made their decision: After all of the submitted products had been meticulously tested and assessed individually, both Delta Optical binoculars Chase 12x50 ED and Titanium 8x42 HD manufactured by the Polish company Delta Optical and designed by talented Polish designer Joanna Leciejewska received two prestigious “Red Dot” awards. Members of the jury, known for giving their seal of approval only to products that represent the highest quality, were unanimous this time around and without any doubt cast their votes on Delta Optical. Awarding two products by the same brand in one category (Outdoor) is a truly unprecedented event in the history of the competition.

The perfect compromise between usability, ergonomics and aesthetics

Both awarded binoculars reflect the close relationship between usability, ergonomics and aesthetics.

Housing design of Delta Optical Chase 12x50 ED refers to the environment where binoculars are to be used with immense passion - the structure of the vertical lines on the tubes and the central focusing knob are inspired by the trunks of forest trees. It all emphasizes the relationship between the usable item and the environment in which it is supposed to be used. The drawing and the structure of the line provide secure and comfortable support for the hand, combining the aesthetic and ergonomic aspects.

Alsow the Delta Optical Titanium 8x42 HD binoculars have been designed to combine technical and usability features with aesthetics referring directly to the user's passion for viewing. The design is inspired by plant shapes, which in a simplified form appear on the device's housing. Also the drawing and the structure of leaves on the tubes allow a secure grip in the most extreme situations. The form and colours also play a significant camouflage function.

Each element of the binoculars, including caps, has been designed to form a coherent whole.

The modern optical system together with refined ergonomics and original design make these binoculars an unmatched competitors in their price range.

Delta Optical binoculars at the largest exhibition of contemporary design

The Red Dot Award: Product Design has its roots dating back as far as 1955 and acknowledges the best designs of the year. In 2018, designers and manufacturers from 59 countries submitted more than 6,300 items to the competition. A jury comprising of roughly 40 experts assessed the products individually. The strict judging criteria included level of innovation, functionality, technical quality, ergonomics and durability.

Being recognized in this competition means having the product of highest design quality. When I speak about design, I am referring to more than just a visually attractive product but a product of outstanding functionality”, said Professor Dr Peter Zec, founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award.

In July in Essen in Germany, Delta Optical binoculars, along with other award-winning products, will be featured at the "Design on Stage - Winners Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018" display (as part of the world's largest exhibition of contemporary design), in Red Dot Design Yearbook 2018/2019, and on Red-Dot-21.com and Red Dot Design App, respectively.

Individual binoculars have been distinguished, it is worth noting however that whereas the titanium HD series consists of two models 8x42 and 10x42 - the Chase series is four models strong: 8x42, 10x42, 10x50 and 12x50.
